IHOP Vision Statement
To call forth, train and mobilize worshipping intercessors who operate in the forerunner spirit as End-Time prophetic messengers.
To establish a 24 hour a day Prayer Room in Kansas City as a perpetual Solemn assembly that gathers corporately to fast and pray in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David as God’s primary method of establishing justice.
To send out teams to plant Houses of Prayer in the nations after God grants a breakthrough of His power in Kansas City.

What is IHOP?
International House of Prayer is an international missions organization committed to prayer (intercession, worship, healing, prophecy, etc.), fasting and the Great Commission. Our work includes equipping and sending missionaries as dedicated intercessors and evangelists working to see revival in the Church and a Great Harvest among the lost.
On September 19, 1999, we began a ministry of worship with intercession non-stop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We structure our schedule around 84 two-hour prayer meetings every week. Ideally, we seek to have 10-15 singers and musicians on each worship team. Central to our model is praying (singing) the Scripture using the Apostolic Prayers, the Hymns of Revelation, Psalms and Song of Solomon.
Anna prayed night and day in the temple with fasting for over 60 years just prior to the first coming of Jesus (Luke 2:37-38). Anna was the first evangelist in the New Testament. The Holy Spirit is releasing “Annas†to pray, fast and preach prior to the Second Coming. This “Anna Anointing†transcends gender and age, including men and women, old and young who live as intercessory missionaries laboring for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Is This a New Idea?
Perpetual solemn assemblies have played a key part in the formation of the church down through the centuries. For example:
Bangor, Ireland In 555 AD a Celtic monk named Comgall and his coworker Columbus gathered 3000 monks to a place called Bangor. They began a prayer meeting that continued with singing 24 hours a day for 300 years resulting in the first Celtic missions movement in history.
Clairvaux, France In 1120 A.D. a Catholic monk named Bernard gathered 700 monks to a valley called Clairvaux. They began a prayer meeting that continued 24 hours a day for many years resulting in a dynamic release of evangelism through sings and wonders across all Europe.
Herrnhut, Germany — In 1727, a young German nobleman named Nicholaus Ludwig Count von Zinzendorf (1700-1760) gathered persecuted Christians to his large estate in Germany named Herrnhut.
The Moravians They began a prayer meeting that continued 24 hours a day for 120 years, resulting in the first Protestant missions movement.
