Randomness
15/08/2008I’ve been bad at writing lately, so I hope to change that in the future. For now, here are some things that have been happening:
- Jocelyn and I spent last week in Branson, MO. Weird little town, sort of like Vegas for families, but it was fun. The highlight was going kayaking on a lake, and just being together for 7 days straight. Beautiful.
- Classes for FSM started on Monday, which means that my job is quite busy right now. It’s been a bit crazy, but I’m seeing where I need to set-up better systems, which is good. The best part is seeing new students come in.
- Jocelyn is away visiting a friend in Phoenix, AZ on a last minute trip.
- I’m really digging the Olympics this year. Michael Phelps is unbelievable. No matter how hard China tries, they can’t separate politics from sports.
- I taught twice this week to a group of Media Apprentices on “How to Study the Bible.” It was fun to teach the same thing twice, and it went well. I didn’t realize how much there is to say about studying the Bible.
- Jocelyn is starting school on Monday. She is one semester away from starting the nursing program. Pray that she gets accepted.
- “The Dark Knight” was definitely dark, and The Joker was pretty much Satan. All that to say, I thought it was really good and a good portrayal of evil and humanity’s fight against it. I know what you are thinking, “that doesn’t really sound like a good reason to see the movie.”
